Concentrate 101: Which Consistency is Right for You?

What are marijuana concentrate and how do I use it?

Marijuana concentrate is a thick resinous sticky oil that comes from marijuana bud. This form of marijuana is a much more concentrated form of cannabinoids and terpenes making it extra potent. Marijuana concentrate comes in multiple forms.

Which concentrate form should I buy?

It honestly depends on how you are using the concentrate. If you plan to use something such as a Yocan pen, a crumble would be the easiest to just drop a chunk in. If you are using a rig, a resin or budder would be easier to put up with the dab tool. Here are the different types of concentrate:

Resin - can range from sticky, sap like consistency to a butter consistency with THCA crystals

Sugar - small THCA crystals ranging from dryer to wetter depending on how much sauce is used

Crumble - crumbly dry wax

Shatter - a piece flat thin hard wax

Budder - soft butter consistency wax

Badder - a thinner batter consistency wax

Sauce - a very thin lower THC, but high terpene sticky wax

Diamonds -almost flavorless THCA extremely potent crystals that turn into THC when heated. Diamonds are usually paired with sauce to add flavor

Sand  - almost flavorless extremely potent THCA crystals that is the consistency of sand
